IEEE OC Computer Society Presentation Meeting “2018 GameSIG Showcase Winners”

Two games which were winners of the 7TH ANNUAL IEEE GAMESIG INTERCOLLEGIATE COMPUTER GAMES SHOWCASE which was held on May 6th at Chapman University.
The 1st runner up was “Reinvent The Wheel” which also won the “Peoples Choice” award and is already available in the Apple and Google AppStores. The game was produced by a team from CSULB lead by Ken Miller.
The winning game was “Sky Farm” by a team from UC Irvine lead by Christopher Ayuso. Unfortunately, none of the team mates are available for this meeting. Their qualifying video says “Sky Farm is a turn-based puzzle mobile game where you must use time travel switches and pickups to progress.” The video is available, along with a link to the game, is available at www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzpLuXLTYV8.
The 2nd Runner Up was “Super Nova”, a Narrative-Driven VR Rhythm Game by a team from Laguna College of Art and Design coupled with a devlopers from the USC Game Pipe. The teammates on this team (information available at https://vrhymes.com/) are also not available for our meeting.
The team that won the OC ACM’s award for Best Software and Best Simulation, the developers of “Residuum” from Santa Ana College, are being approached to be our second presenter. Their qualifying YouTube video is available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqVlF7_LTvs.
Please be aware that this meeting will be at the Knobbe Martens Irvine offices. Parking validation will be provided to attendees.
