IEEE GameSIG Intercollegiate Computer Game Showcase (7th Annual)

Abstract:

 

The Annual IEEE GameSIG Intercollegiate Computer Game Showcase is providing student game developers the chance to present their best student developed video games for judging by an elite panel of video game professionals.

Come out in support of your favorite colleges as student development teams go head-to-head for school pride, bragging rights, and this year’s GameSIG Cup. Finalists will demonstrate their games for a growing number of students, alumni, and sponsors representing our internationally renowned video game industry.

This year’s showcase will return to Chapman University’s Sandhu Conference Center. Following the showcase the attendees are invited to enjoy a reception with refreshments, game demonstrations by the student developers, and networking. Put on your game face and come to cheer your favorite College, watch demos and play games.

The public is invited to attend the annual intercollegiate competition among the major universities of Orange County and the surrounding area.

Annotated Agenda

1:00PM – 3:00PM The best developers in the universe will compete for honors on the Big Screen before our panel of judges, who are local Game Industry leaders. You will be thrilled when their names are released. This panel is a lively bunch, and it may seem more like American Idol than an academic event. Student game developers will have ten minutes to shock and awe the judges.

3:00PM – 6:00PM We will have a casual reception, networking and game demo sessions in the spirit of a science fair. The audience will have the opportunity to get some hands-on time with the games created by the finalists and semi-finalists, enjoy refreshments, and network with industry professionals and other game developers.

4:00PM Judges will announce the winners in the auditorium.
