IEEE OC YP Pickleball Rooftop Event

IEEE OC Young Professionals Affinity Group hosted a pickleball rooftop event in 16 Oct 2024. The event welcomed new and experienced players. The venue was conveniently located at the top of the parking structure of the Westin South Coast Plaza Hilton Hotel near South Coast Plaza Mall. On a Wednesday night, we reserved the courts and had the whole space for ourselves, which offered a more friendly and welcoming environment for the attendees. We were able to spread and play across the 4 courts, and the sides were great for taking a break and engaging on some casual conversations.

The attendees enjoyed the event and shared that they would be interested in doing it again. This heart-racing active sport event also sparked some side discussions about other potential activity events that we could explore, such as mini golf.
