Report: PES General Meeting – July 2024

Syed Ahmed Raza Naqvi, Secretary of IEEE Orange County Section, attended PES General Meeting from July 20th-22nd in Seattle, Washington.

PES had arranged a gala dinner for all officers on July 20th, followed up by a whole day of training session on the various software platforms available from IEEE on July 21st . PES representatives presented ways of improving the visibility of a particular PES chapter and how student chapters play a vital role in this.

At the end of the training, a small competition amongst all the IEEE regions was held for planning a PES event. Region 6 was declared the winner of this competition. It was a well attended training session by senior professionals, young professionals and students.
