• December 15, 2009: Annual Christmas Lecture Co-sponsored with SCV-Photonics Society Our speaker is Dr. Robert Lang and the topic of his presentation is  “Origami Holiday Lecture and Class”.   Registration:  Registration in advance is required. NO WALK-INS!
• Nov 19 2009: Our speaker was Asad Abidi (UCLA), and the topic of his presentation was  “Microelectronics and the Rise of High Technology:  A History of the US IC Design Industry”
• Oct 15 2009: Our speaker was Sefan Rusu (Intel Corporation), and the topic of his presentation was “Nehalem-EX: a 45nm, 8-core Enterprise Processor“
• Sept 17, 2009: Speaker:  Dr. David Su, Atheros Communications  Talk Title: Designing CMOS wireless System-on-a-chip
• August 20, 2009: Our speaker was  Tinoosh Mohsenin (University of California, Davis), and the topic of her presentation was  ” A 32 Gbps 2048-bit 10GBASE-T Ethernet Energy Efficient LDPC Decoder with Split-Row Threshold Decoding Method”
• June 18 2009: Our speaker was  Cristian Marcu (Berkeley Wireless Research Center), and the topic of his presentation was  ” A Low-Power 60GHz Transceiver with Integrated Baseband Circuitry”
• May 21 2009: Our speaker was  Nikola Nedovic (Fujitsu Laboratories of America), and the topic of his presentation was  ” Clock and Data Recovery in High-Speed Wireline Communications”
• May 12 2009: Joint sponsorship with IEEE Santa Clara Valley Electron Devices Society. Our speaker was  Dr. Subramanian “Shiva” Ramesh(CTO GreenSys Technologies), and the topic of his presentation was  ” Power and variability: challenges and solutions”
• April 16 2009: Our speaker was  David Sobel (Broadcom Corporation), and the topic of his presentation was  ” A Baseband Mixed-Signal Receiver Front-End for 1Gbps Wireless Communications at 60GHz”
• March 19 2009: Our speaker was  Prof. Bernhard E. Boser (EECS, UC-Berkeley ), and the topic of his presentation was  ” Positive Feedback, Negative Feedback – A closer look at phase margin”
• February 12 2009: Our speaker was Hyunsik Park (Atheros), and the topic of his presentation was  ” High-Precision Low-Voltage Low-Power Analog-to-Digital Conversion”
• February 11 2009: “The Basic Electronic Components: Finding the Missing Memristor” — Stanley Williams, HP Laboratories. SSCS is Co-Sponsoring a Technical Dinner Meeting. Also Co-Sponsoring this meeting (due to the subject) are the IEEE-NanoTechnology Council and IEEE-Electron Devices Society.
