Join us for this year’s download of the CES event which occurred earlier on Jan 7th. The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is a tradeshow that features the biggest tech players showcasing their latest consumer technology.

This year, the CES website advertises that exhibitors which include big names such as Qualcomm, Intel, Google, Samsung, and Panasonic.

IEEE SCV WIE is co-hosting this CES Download of the latest tech innovations on Thursday, Jan 30 2025 at 5:30pm-8:00pm PST. This event will be hosted at the Plug and Play Tech Center, Silicon Valley Room, 440 N. Wolfe Rd. Ste 71, Sunnyvale, CA 94085.

Joining IEEE SCV-WIE

IEEE Women in Engineering affinity group is an active chapter in Santa Clara Valley. We do not require you to be a SCV WIE member to participate in the activities that we organize. However, we do encourage you to become IEEE members and actively volunteer in planning events for WIE, support women at both the professional and student level and share your enthusiasm in science and engineering. WIE membership is available for $25 to IEEE members, and free to IEEE student members.

SCV WIE meets on the third Thursday of the month. Contact Shweta Behere, SCV WIE Chair (sbehere@ieee.org) to join us in these recurring meetings.

We welcome non-IEEE members at our events. Feel free to attend our events and bring your, friends, family and co-workers.

Starting from 2014 onwards one of the focus area of the IEEE Santa Clara Valley Women in Engineering group was to increase the collaboration with corporate companies, universities with IEEE chapters and non-profit organizations  in the Bay Area which are supporting  our mission.

We have created IEEE-WIE-Corporate member partnership which supports corporate investment in women pursuing their STEM education. As part of this initiative we started organizing joint events promoting women engineer active in the area of expertise. lMany of these events are sponsored by the IEEE-WIE-Corporate companies.

Since 2015 we have started a collaboration with the Center for Creative Leadership to support develop training for WIE wishing to enter the managerial path.
