Career Panel Talk: Advising My Younger Self

 

The event will start with Career Perspectives from women who hold varied experiences both in industry and academia, facilitated by an IEEE-SCV-WIE Board Member and continue with the Q&A. The focus of the panel discussion will be around  how to begin and maintain a passionate career track. The panel discussion will be followed by a networking reception.

Kitty Yeung
is a physicist, maker, fashion designer, artist and musician based in Silicon Valley, California. She currently works as a senior program manager + creative technologist at the Garage, Microsoft. Previously, Kitty worked at Intel as a research scientist. She has a PhD in Applied Physics from Harvard University and M.Sci., M.A. and B.A. in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge. She enjoys integrating art/design with science/technology.

 



Liliane Peters is a Senior  IEEE member, and 2018 IEEE SCV WIE Chair. She is a Director with Ericsson Silicon Valley in the Digital Service  division. She has successfully led several R&D programs, initiatives and line organizations, where she extensively applied agile and lean processes and methods. She is currently responsible for the DevOps transformation and consolidation of the development environment. Liliane holds a PhD in image processing and a MSc. in video transmission. She is recipient of several awards and patents in the area of computational intelligence.

 

Mayuri Kulkarni holds Technical expertise in designing and

building software for Application Acceleration, Network Access Control and Data Center Switching and Routing products. She graduated with a Software Management degree from Carnegie Mellon University, Silicon Valley.

 

 


Patsy Price
is a full stack software developer at Malwarebytes. She previously spent eight years at Google working in various roles, as well as a number of startups. Patsy is passionate about building applications that make a difference for the user. She holds an engineering degree in Materials Science from UC Berkeley.

 

Sneha Prasad is a Software Engineer at Cisco Systems, IEEE Vice Chair, as well as Cisco WISE Lead. She works on developing SDK for Nexus 9500.
