IEEE-WIE-Ericsson and IEEE-SCV-WIE invite you to attend:
IoT Data over Transport Networks Connecting NFV Cloud
Samita Chakrabarti , System Architect, IP Technology Division, Ericsson Inc
When: Thursday , June 18, 6 – 8:30 pm
Venue: Ericsson Cafe, 200 Holger Way, San Jose,
Internet of Things(IoT) are part of the Networked Society. Transporting data from various IoT devices running wireless and cellular technologies require fixed and Mobile transport networks to the Cloud.
The first part of the talk will focus on today’s challenges on different vertical solutions toward cloud applications and the nature of IoT data that is different from the data traffic today. The second part of the talk will sketch out an architectural view of convergence of IoT data into one intelligent transport network that can be efficiently used for connecting NFV Cloud infrastructure and applications.
Samita Chakrabarti is an Architect at Ericsson Silicon Valley in the IP Technology Division. Samita has focused on Data Center, NFV architecture and prototypes, looking into IoT/M2M impact on transport networks. She has also been involved with IPv6 since late 1990s and has been working on sensor networks in her prior positions in the valley. In addition, Samita has experience with IPv6,Routing, Mobility and 6lowpan implementations through her workplaces and protocol development through IETF contributions. Samita is a co-chair of IETF 6lo WG which defines IPv6 over constrained node networks. She has been on the GSMA panel most recently at MWC2015 and prior to that, she has presented at IPv6 WC 2014 and ETSI M2M workshop.
