Chapter officer positions typically are held only for two years, so other members can have the opportunity to participate. It’s a rewarding activity – both professionally (new contacts and technical information) and socially (we have fun!). Responsibilities are shared among the officers, so the time commitment is minimal.
One of the best results of becoming an officer is meeting and developing lasting relationships with other product safety professionals. Working together through our IEEE Society we can enhance our professional experiences and careers – and enjoy doing it, too!
