Speaker Information for presentations at IEEE PSES SCV chapter meetings
Objective:
The PSES SCV chapter looks for speaker presentations that are:
• Technical and related to product safety
• Leading edge or “hot” topics
• Without sales or marketing slant
Presentation Logistics:
Presentations generally are 45 minutes in duration with an additional 15 minutes for audience
questions and answers. Audience interaction also is possible at the informal dinner before
the meeting and after the meeting adjourns.
Presentation visuals are assumed to be computer projections, such as a PowerPoint file. A
projector, ready to be connected to a personal computer, and a microphone are provided.
Please notify your PSES contact at least a week before the presentation if you need any
other audiovisual equipment to be provided, such as a PC, CD or DVD reader, slide projector
and so on.
At least six weeks before the presentation please provide a one paragraph description of the
presentation and a short biography of the presenter, preferably in electronic format, such as
an MSWord file. This material is used for promoting the presentation.
Presenters are requested to provide an electronic copy of their presentation, preferably in pdf
format, either before or at the presentation. The electronic copy will be posted at the PSES
SCV chapter website for access by members and interested parties.
Presentations should not contain any proprietary or confidential information. Neither the
IEEE nor the PSES will be liable for any application or dissemination of material that appears
in any presentation. Any material that is known to be proprietary or confidential will not be
accepted.
Please notify your PSES SCV Chapter contact as soon as possible if you are unable to make your
presentation and must arrange for a substitute presenter.
