Volunteering is the life-blood of IEEE. What happens in the Utah section is because of members like you who take time out of your schedule to help others. Some of the events our section has recently hosted include:
- High-tech Merit Badge Pow-Wow
- Expanding Your Horizons
- Lagoon day
- Holiday dinner
- Career talks to student branches
- Student branch STEP dinner
- Awards banquet
- Technical talks
- Facility tours
We’re looking for volunteers to serve in some of the open volunteer positions and help out with our different activities. By “help out” we mean just that. If you don’t have time to lead, but are willing to lend a hand when an extra is needed, please let us know. If you are willing to host a tour of your work facility, let us know. Click on the position titles on our officers page to get details on what the position entails. We are also looking for volunteers to help with the events listed above.
The benefits of volunteering for IEEE include:
- Improving your professional network within IEEE in Utah and the world
- Activities to showcase your skills to others
If you are interested in volunteering, please email the chair, Chad Kidder (ckidder@ieee.org) and let him know what you are interested in.
