Agile software development has enjoyed rising popularity for over 10 years. And yet, many people still have misgivings. Come hear this original talk from someone who was there from the beginning, and who knows the strengths and weaknesses of choosing an agile approach.

Bio:
Brian Lawrence is a software consultant with a long history in the computing industry. His primary focus is teaching and facilitating requirements activities, as well as inspection, project planning, risk management, life cycles, and design specification techniques. Brian has served as the editor of what is now Better Software Magazine, sat on the editorial board of IEEE Software for 5 years, and has chaired conferences. He taught software engineering at the University of California Santa Cruz Extension for over a decade.
