Presentation: Using the Enneagram in Business
The Enneagram provides a very effective framework for understanding human dynamics and personalities. But how can this understanding be applied in the workplace? This talk covers the basics of the Enneagram and shows how it can be used to analyze the dynamics of work teams. Also, Matt will demonstrate how the Enneagram can be used as a team-based problem solving methodology, facilitating teams to work together effectively, and helping teams that have become stuck to get unstuck.
Bio:
Speaker: Matt Schlegel was introduced to the Enneagram 15 years ago through friends and family. Fascinated, he began exploring different ways of using this new tool. An engineer and scientist at heart, he developed methodologies to use the Enneagram to help organizations develop leaders, build effective teams, and solve challenging problems. He found that the Enneagram serves as a solid foundation for endless opportunities to explore and grow.
Matt founded Enncorporation to deliver tools that help companies develop leaders and accomplish strategic objectives. A seasoned high tech leader with over 20 years of leadership and technology experience, Matt provides consulting services in the areas of leadership, team building, product development, and manufacturing.
After graduating from Harvey Mudd College with a degree in Engineering and from UC San Diego with an MS in Electrical Engineering/Applied Physics, Matt was granted a Mombusho Scholarship to conduct research at the University of Tokyo. The following 3 years were spent living, studying and working in Japan. After leaving Japan, Matt returned to his native San Francisco Bay Area where he has spent 20+ years working in engineering, management and consulting roles.
