Abstract: When it comes to energy, Microsoft is a customer, collaborator, and innovator. Joseff Kolman, a Program Manager of Energy Markets at Microsoft, will deliver a Data Center 101 presentation detailing the operational characteristics of Microsoft and other data center operators as customers and collaborators of electric utilities.

Speaker Bio: Joseff is a Program Manager of Energy Markets at Microsoft. As part of the Cloud Operations + Innovation organization, Joseff manages several regions in Microsoft’s data center energy portfolio in the western United States. Prior to joining Microsoft, Joseff advised corporate and industrial companies on how to achieve their renewable energy goals through PPAs and other contracts. Joseff holds an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business and bachelor’s degrees in physics and political science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
