Plan social event for fall

• Happy hour 5:30 pm – Wed August 22 – Kayleen to send invite – around July – ask her to send remainder – Snow to extend to all IEEE WIE member
  • Thai basil has happy hour special
  • Can seat up to 20 – all IEEE WIE members with RSVP
  • Invite IEEE WIE Student section
• Picnic potluck in fall (during week end  – admin for Leslie or Kayleen can help)
  • Can reserve a ramada @ Desert breeze
  • Need 2 proposed dates date by next meeting –
    • November 10 th Saturnday around 11-1 pm , pot luck
    • Beginning of december Sat. 8th
  • Lunch:
    • Va Bene – proposed date: Wednesday Sept. 19  open to all WIE with RSVP and reserve – find volunteer for contact. We can send expanded invitation. 11:30-1pm.  Snow to check with private room.

Volunteering opportunity

• ASU Career exploration night Freshman engineering night can have a IEEE booth (MU Oct. 16 (main) – oct. 24 for Polytechnique  Leslie can provide a date).
  • Find material: recruit ? Offer mentoring ( send email for volunteers to be mentors )
• First Lego league tournament – expected date Nov. 16-17 – We need volunteers to help in logistics, may need ~20 people – contact Anna
