AI Hands-On Workshop – 22 January 2025

Laptops and devices were open and humming at Beeb’s in Livermore January 22, as Oakland East Bay Life Members huddled around tables to share their techniques and insights about using Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI assistants. The OEB LM Affinity Group held their first 2025 lunch meeting with this “AI Hands-on Workshop” that was well attended and enthusiastically received by 25 members.
Mickey Mantle, the LM Group’s Vice-Chair, opened the session with introductory remarks and followed up with an informative, research-rich deck – largely sourced from Antropic’s Claude AIbot. The OEB-LMAG will be continuing to hold quarterly meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of April/July/October, and these will be formally announced via eTools and Grid. Generally these meetings are held at Beeb’s Sports Bar in Livermore, but we are also working to hold some meetings at other locations in the Bay Area that offer access to unique settings and information. Stay tuned for further information as we confirm those locations.
