The IEEE Region 6 Young Professionals hosts an annual Rising Stars conference every year in Las Vegas. The IEEE Young Professionals of Northern Nevada is proud to announce we will be sending four undergraduate students, and two graduate students to the 2025 Rising Stars Conference. In addition to these attendees, Mike Chavez, our section chair, will also be attending the conference.
UnderGrad Student Attendees
Brayton Arthur

Brayton Arthur is our current student IEEE Chair. He studies Electrical Engineering and is specifically interested in pursuing a career revolving around signals and controls. He is originally from Los Gatos, California but if he had to relocate for work it would preferably be either somewhere in Nevada or Colorado.
Mason Graves is our IEEE student branch Treasurer. He is pursuing his Electrical Engineering degree as well as a minor in physics. Mason sees a future for himself in digital electronics pertaining and battery technology. He is a Nevada native hailing from Las Vegas, but will consider relocating.

Sebastion Rosval

Sebastion Rosval is an Electrical Engineering student with a Biomedical Emphasis. He also studies French. His fields of interest are in signals, circuit design, electronics, and tissue engineering. Sebastion is another Nevada native representing Reno as his hometown.
Rahul Bokka is our final undergraduate student, Rahul is pursuing a degree in mathematics with a minor in psychology. He is interested in pursuing a career focused on developing artificial intelligence. Rahul is another member of the team who calls Reno his home,
Grad Student Attendees
Andy Tan is our previous IEEE student section Shair, and is our current IEEE YP of Northern Nevada Vice Chair. He graduated last year with an Electrical Engineering degree emphasizing robotics, autonomous vehicles, and embedded design. He is currently pursuing a minor in Computer Science and Mathematics. He displays a career interest in robotics, controls, and autonomous systems. Andy is originally from Mesquite Nevada and is willing to settle anywhere in Nevada so long as he can pursue an engineering position within his specialized fields.

Lyssie Brown is our final student attendee. Lyssie graduated from University of Nevada with a Computer Science and engineering degree but is currently enrolled in the MBA program. Her fields of interest are software engineering and entrepreneurship. Lyssie has participated in IEEEXtreme, a 24-hour coding marathon which pins unviersity teams from across the world against each other to solve coding issues. Originating from Sparks, Nevada, Lyssie will consider relocation to California or Las Vegas.
