The IEEE sections of Northern Nevada needs your help! We would like to form teams with leaders who are passionate about those items! IEEEXtreme, our K-12 Science Kits Initiative, and Women In Engineering all need leaders who are willing to tow the line and be the face of that program.

IEEEXtreme:

IEEEXtreme Ambassadors will be sent a list of tasks with deadlines to complete them. Time commitment is up to the ambassador as they can decide the amount of time they need to spend to complete the tasks by the deadline. Ambassadors will report the completion of the tasks to the IEEEXtreme Ambassador Leads through a google form and will receive points upon verification of completion. Ambassadors will also be added to Whatsapp groups with other ambassadors for collaboration and assistance. Ambassador Program Leads will be available to help student ambassadors with any problems they might run into.

IEEE Women in Engineering is one of the most rapid growing societies within IEEE. We are looking for women interested in working alongside the Sierra Nevada Society of Women Engineers Section and Women in Aviation International to present an interactive STEM table at Girls in Aviation Day, as well as other local events focused on introducing and encouraging young ladies to join the STEM community. Leave a comment if you are interested!

We are looking for technical professionals to assist us with STEM workshops in the Northern Nevada area as well as a leader interested in running the program. This will be in partnership with Desert Research Institute as well as assisting them with their classroom activities.
