This last week, Michael Chavez and Andy Tan unveiled multiple projects they have been working on in order to progress IEEE SAC and IEEE YP involvement. We were greenlit on projects to pursue, and propose to the professional section at the end of July such as:

A K-12 STEM Instructional Project
IEEE Day Involvement/ Professional Networking Event
PE/FE Exam IEEE Study Material
YP Mentor-Meet Program Involvement
The YP WFH Initiative
Region 6 Rising Stars Sponsorship and attendance

We also had our meeting yesterday regarding the benefits that our local members are interested in, while we only had six participants join the meeting, they had some great feedback. They particularly enjoyed the PE/FE Exam study material, the YP WFH Initiative, and Mentor Meet Program were at the front of member interests.

We look forward to serving the Northern Nevada community and unveiling some of these programs as the year progresses!
