The Northern Nevada Professional Section was able to host the Central Area meeting on May 25th, 2024 this year at the beautiful Lake Tahoe campus of UNR. We had some key take aways from that meeting that multiple members were able to learn from such as:

• We were able to meet the Region 6 Director Elect, Joseph Wei
• IEEE ILN is offering free courses for education week
• The student competition poster winner presented a project focusing on wildfire response and triangulation
• A new Young Professionals section has been started, the Northern Nevada section
• IEEE Women In Engineering has multiple family assisting grants members can take advantage of.
