A significant step-up in decarbonisation efforts is required to mitigate these emission increases while simultaneously brining the semiconductor industry on a path to net-zero by the 2030s. A successful net-zero transition however, cannot be accomplished by semiconductor manufacturers alone and requires broad collaboration within the semiconductor value chain as well as R&D efforts.
