| In these unprecedented times, job seekers and employers are facing both extraordinary challenges and unique opportunities. IEEE makes several resources available for the benefit of IEEE members and employers, helping job seekers locate employment opportunities and helping employers fill their vacancies with the most qualified professionals in the industry.
The IEEE Metro LA section has established an Employment Committee to help members identify companies hiring in their fields in the Metro section area and vicinity. The goal is to help our members decrease the time performing the tedious task of searching for positions in their field in the internet. The chapter Employment Chair performs this task for them by compiling and regularly updating a list of hiring companies in the communication field. The Metropolitan LA section Vice Chair, Eremita Miranda (eremitam@outlook.com) is the point of contact for all Metro members to receive the list of hiring companies in their field in the Metro area. All requesters have to do is to send him an email stating their field of interest with their membership numbers. Job seekers and employers can also go to the IEEE Job Site at www.ieee.org/jobs to discover companies that have posted their openings and IEEE members that have posted their resumes, respectively. |
