Electrical/Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to support the design, engineering, and implementation of our renewable energy projects. You will work closely with project managers, construction teams, and clients to develop technical designs, ensure system integration, and oversee project execution from concept to completion.

Job Responsibilities
– Design and review electrical and mechanical systems for solar PV, battery storage, and energy efficiency projects.
– Prepare and present detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and equipment layouts.
– Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to ensure design feasibility and project requirements.
– Support permitting and interconnection application processes with local authorities and utilities (e.g., HECO).
– Conduct site assessments and provide technical guidance during construction and commissioning.
– Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues on-site and remotely.
– Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations (e.g., NEC, ASME).
– Maintain accurate project documentation, including design changes and test reports.
– Evaluate new technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve system performance and reliability.

Qualifications & Requirements 
– Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
– 5+ years of experience in engineering roles, preferably in renewable energy, power systems, or related infrastructure projects.
– Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical design principles, codes, and standards.
– Experience with solar PV systems, energy storage, or related energy technologies is highly desirable.
– Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or similar) and engineering analysis tools.
– Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a small team.
– Familiarity with Hawaii’s permitting and interconnection processes is highly desirable.
– Effective communication skills for client and team coordination.
