| 📅 The IEEE Hawaii Section will be holding its monthly Executive Committee (ExCom) meeting on Wednesday, June 4th from 6:30-7:30pm. The meeting will be held at UH Manoa Holmes Hall 244, with an online option available via WebEx. Dinner will be provided for $10 per person. Please give cash to Matt Sahara on the day of. HPU Designs Rocket For NASA Student Launch Competition |
| Hawai‘i Pacific University (HPU) proudly represented Hawai‘i for the 2025 NASA Student Launch Competition. Team “Lewa,” made up of eight electrical engineering students and led by Dr. Arif Rahman, designed a high-powered rocket to reach 4,600 feet. Their project includes a payload and parachute recovery system. The final launch took place on May 3, 2025, in Huntsville, Alabama. This achievement highlights both the team’s engineering skills and Hawai‘i’s innovative spirit! | |
