The IEEE Hawaii Section will be holding its monthly Executive Committee (ExCom) meeting on Wednesday, February 5th from 6:30-7:30pm. The meeting will be held at UH Manoa Holmes Hall 244, with an online option available via WebEx. 

Dinner will be provided for $10 per person. Please give cash to Matt Sahara on the day of. Students do not need to bring payment.

FIRST Robotics is looking for volunteers for the 2025 Hawaii Regional Competition. Volunteers are to assist in different roles including field reset, scorer, judges, and more. No prior experience is necessary and training will be provided.

Date: 20-23 March 2025

Time: 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM HST, most help needed on Saturday and Sunday

Location: Saint Louis School Gyms

On January 3-5, 2025, 3 of IEEE student members, Gian Carlo Langaman (UHM), Byron Soriano (UHM), and Narissa McGill (HPU) along with Brianne Tengan and Matthew Sahara, had the amazing opportunity to attend this year's IEEE Rising Stars Conference! Here they were able to network with other young professionals and student members, expand their technical knowledge, and further their professional growth; and our very own Matt Sahara spoke on the Emerging Voices Panel moderated by IEEE President Kathleen Kramer!

Hawaii Section members were recognized for their achievements during the Joint Region 4 and Region 6 Meeting on January 25, 2025. Congratulations to the 2024 IEEE Region 6 Award winners on their achievements and mahalo for your continued dedication!

Burns and McDonnell received the Outstanding Corporate Award.

IEEE Hawaii Section Women in Engineering received the Outstanding Affinity Group Chapter of the Year.

Quynh Tran received the Outstanding Affinity Group Member Award. Serena Clarke received the award on behalf of Quynh.  

Hawaii Section is proud to celebrate Brianne Tengan as the recipient of the 2024 IEEE-USA Jim Watson Student Professional Awareness Achievement Award.This prestigious award recognizes visionary leadership in transforming IEEE student engagement, pioneering innovative programs, and championing successful student-to-professional transitions nationwide.

Hawaii Section was honored the Member and Geographic Activities Section Significant Anniversary Banner to commemorate 75 years of service.
